Project Proposal: Shopping Mall, Hotel, and Office Building
Mixed-Use Development, Tripoli
Located on Omar Al-Mukhtar Road in the heart of Tripoli, this mixed-use development integrates a shopping mall, luxury hotel, office facilities, and underground parking into a unified urban complex. The project is generated from a petal-inspired diagram in which the central building volume is elevated to form a shaded public plaza a protected civic space offering climatic relief within a dense urban context.
Two daylight-filled atriums structure the interior of the mall, creating clear orientation, visual openness, and high-quality retail environments. A double-skin façade composed of curved aluminium louvers provides effective solar shading while maintaining transparency and establishing a contemporary architectural expression that references Tripoli’s cultural and architectural heritage.
